Recycling is played out

| March 27th, 2009

Sarcastic titles are a given at yours truely url, but this actually calls for real questioning (see picture)… IT IS a garbage man picking up a recycling bin and graciously throwing its content in a garbage truck.  I know, I know, right now you’re pissed because you feel like you’ve been cleaning your diced tomatoes tin cans for nothing ! And you damn should ! But if you see the big picture, you’ll see that’s all right. With the whole economic crisis going on, recycling just ain’t profitable and it’s a luxury we can afford no more… I’d be down. Let’s throw everything in the garbage ! Wouldn’t it be a great opportunity to start everything over !? More or less, it’s all the same ain’t it ?  Our civilisation was built on getting second chances at change. We’ll get trough. Won’t we ?

This photo was taken recently on the Plateau Mont-Royal in Montreal by my friend Dan Mathieu (yeah… one might say his site is not representative of his talent, but I ain’t one of them. This guy is one of my favorite photographer and I should just help him out. And if you’re rolling on urethane and wood and are a bit tech savvy, so should you).

When everything is played out, it’s not about choosing what to fight for, it’s about fitting it in your schedule.
